Flame: enormous cyber-attack revealed

According to the researchers, a composite targeted cyber-attack that collected private facts from countries such as Israel and Iran has been revealed. It is the one of the most complex threats ever revealed. The opinion of Kaspersky's chief malware expert Vitaly Kamluk is that this new hazard appears not to cause physical damage, but to gather huge amounts of sensitive information.

With the countries affected by the attack are Iran, Israel, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The malware is proficient of recording audio by means of a microphone, previous to compressing it and sending it back to the aggressor. Flame is not intended to take cash from bank accounts. It is also different from rather simple hack tools and malware used by the hacktivists.
