According to researchers Magnet-making
bacteria may be building biological computers of the future. The
research may direct to the formation of much faster hard drives. In
addition using microorganisms to produce magnets, the researchers also
managed to make tiny electrical wires from living organisms.
These physically magnetic bacteria usually live in water environments
such as ponds and lakes, under the surface where oxygen is limited.
Since knowledge progresses and processor components get smaller and
smaller, it becomes harder to produce electronics on a nano-scale. A
covering is a genetic film-like wall that separates a cell's internal
from the outside environment.
