GM wheat scientists create appeal to protesters

Scientists increasing heritably modified wheat are asking campaigners not to damage their investigational plots, other than come in for a chat instead. They argue that genes as of the customized strain could spread into neighbouring fields, and that there has been no assessment of whether foods made from the GM variety would be secure to consume.

According to the researchers they chose a variant closer to the cow version than the wheat one in order to avoid other genes in the wheat recognizing its activity and regulating it. The majority biotech crops grown across the world are proprietary to big commercial companies such as Monsanto and Syngenta. Protests were detained under the poster get the Spuds Back
